NEWT are proud to present another community endeavor. We are now working on the allotments on Garstang Road in Breightmet with a view to continue involving the community in sustainable, productive, gardening and environmental pursuits. Today Jasmine, Simon, Adele, Chris and Simon were joined by Martin and Betty to make a real start in clearing this site, particularly the area where we will hold a tree planting event for local primary school children.
Soup, rolls, pies and choccies were provided by Jasmine and Adele and enjoyed by all.
