Today was a day of creativity and community, with Bolton NEWT putting on an event to paint Christmas tree decorations, outside in our new gazebo. Hot chocolate and mince pies were served to warm the cockles as well as a hearty soup, kindly made by Adele, to full us up and keep us energised.
We had lots of children engaged in the painting, whilst parents chatted to volunteers about the work we do as well as the history of the local area.
The fire brought a glow to the proceedings and also served to heat up the roast chestnuts! Ooooooh we do all feel Christmassy!! Looking forward to our next event, along similar lines just before Christmas itself.
