This year we held our 'free entry' Christmas event at the Garstang Hub. As people entered the site, they had the opportunity to plant daffy bulbs for free in a tub, taking it home as a present or for their own garden, this was followed by Roasting marshmallows next to a Pirate shop that had a giant polar bear on top of it. Across from them was the Grinch in stocks!
As they progressed into the site, hot chocolate and a naughty baileys was available for a small donation, across from this was two animatronic reindeer and two tables for a raffle and tombola. The queue to meet Santa past the shack which was filled with letters to write to Santa and biscuits to decorate, finally meeting Santa, 150 children each received a selection box for free.
The event of course, wouldn't be possible without the amazing volunteers who gave up their time in not only preparing the site but turning up to give 150 children a Christmas wonderland. Thank you goes out to; Adele, Alex, Becky, Noo, James, Angelica, Jude, Jasmine, Elliot, Antony, Becky, Tia and Bradley. Quite simply there would be no event without these people!
